that the Bible is the inspired written Word of God, which is entirely trustworthy and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

in the one true Holy God, the creator and sustainer of all things, who lives eternally in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and who rules with love, grace and justice.

in the incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary, truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.

in the worth of every human being, created male and female in God’s likeness to love, be holy and care for creation.  However, through rebellion against God, all have been wholly corrupted by sin, making us deserving of God’s divine wrath and eternal separation from God in hell.

that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross in our place as the only sacrifice able to pay the price of sin, setting us free from the guilt and power of sin and its eternal consequences, so reconciling us with God.

that the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ authenticates what he achieved on the cross, enables us to receive new life from God and guarantees our future resurrection with him in a new heaven and earth.

that Christ ascended to the place of highest honour at the Father’s side, from where he pours out the Holy Spirit upon us and mediates for us with God.

that Christ is Lord over all creation and that he will return in power and glory to judge all who have ever lived, to bring this present world to a conclusion and to establish a new heaven and a new earth.

that all those who repent of their sin and trust in and commit themselves to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour are made right with God by his grace, through faith alone, receive eternal life and are saved from hell.

in the Holy Spirit who glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ, gives revelation, leads us to repentance, spiritually regenerates us, lives within us and fills us. He encourages us, enables us to follow Christ, empowers us for mission, equips us with spiritual gifts and transforms us to become like Christ.

that all who have faith in Christ have direct access to God through him, and together form the one true church, the Body of Christ of which he is the head. He has commissioned his church to proclaim the gospel throughout the world, healing the sick, casting out evil spirits and caring for the poor.

in the importance of the local church where people gather to worship God, to pray, to grow spiritually and to share life together, expressing the life of Christ and the Kingdom of God to the local community.

in the autonomy of the local church under the headship of Christ, the oversight of a body of elders and the guidance of external apostolic ministry.

in the God-given present-day ministries of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the equipping of believers and the effective biblical functioning of the church.

(i) believer’s baptism by immersion in water as an act of commitment to him and to his people the church.

(ii) the regular practice of celebrating the Lord’s Supper to remember him.

in the existence of Satan who controls and deceives the whole world. His power has been destroyed by the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and he is destined by God for eternal torment.
